I can remember it so clear that excitement of your relocation and moving to a new state. When it comes to relocating a motor vechile its rarely at the top of the mind for transferees.

Between packing the home and preparing the family for the move there isnt much time to think about  how your motor vechile is going to get from point A to point B. If you employ a relocation consultant to prepare your move then they will help assist you with the transfer. However its good to follow this quick pre-move checklist for your motor vechile:

 1.   Clean out all personal belongings out of the car
 2.   Fill  your car up to a minimum of 1/4 of a tank of fuel
 3.   Disconnect all car alarms
 4.   Provide one set of keys for the driver
 5.   Wash the vehicle, so a quality inspection can be performed.(Keep a copy of inspection once you have handed over your car)

A really good way to prepare for an up and coming move is to sort the clothing you are not using into plastic tubs. Clear plastic tubs are great as they have a nice secure lid on them and you can store clothing, shoes, documents, blankets and other goods in these tubs.

Plastic tubs are often a cheap alternative to waiting for cardboard boxes to arrive and help assist you in preparing early for your move date. They are easy to stack and the great thing I found when moving was if I needed an item already packed I could easily find what I was looking for through the clear plastic.

Once the move is over plastic tubs become a great way to store goods that you are not using or just need to be packed away.
